GATLINBURG, Tenn., Dec. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Beachtree Properties, a nationwide collective of inns and small hotels across the United States, has announced that the eastern Tennessee wildfires have completely destroyed one of their most unique properties, Eight Gables Inn. The announcement was made via an open letter posted to the Eight Gables Inn website and Facebook page, directed toward past and intending future guests.

During the weekend after Thanksgiving, strong winds suddenly pushed burning wildfires from the Great Smoky Mountains into Gatlinburg and nearby Pigeon Forge, destroying over 700 buildings in the area and leading to the evacuation of over 14,000 residents and visitors. Among the buildings destroyed was Eight Gables Inn, which was built in 1991 and was known as the longest running AAA Four-Diamond property in Tennessee.

In the announcement, Beachtree Properties highlighted the work of property leadership and first responders who ensured that all staff and guests were evacuated safely from the property. The letter then recalled the experiences and memories made possible by the inn.

"From honeymoons, anniversaries, and birthday celebrations, Eight Gables Inn has created everlasting memories. Although our physical structure may have perished, our memories and experiences will continue to live on. Please continue to follow us on Facebook for updates as we look to rebuild our beloved Eight Gables Inn."

Beachtree Properties went on to invite past guests to share photos and memories of their stays at Eight Gables Inn and to look forward to the future.
