Celebrate Our Shared Local History at the Camarillo Ranch

CAMARILLO, Calif., Oct. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Camarillo Ranch Foundation will celebrate City namesake's birthday with a special Mexican-themed brunch in the historic Camarillo Ranch Red Barn from 11:30am to 1:00pm on Sunday, October 28, 2018 followed by the free annual birthday celebration from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Advance tickets and table reservations for the brunch are required and available at www.camarilloranchfoundation.org. Proceeds from the event support the Foundation's educational programs.

This year we are expanding the event by offering brunch in the morning for ticketed guests and free family fun throughout the afternoon with performances by Mariachi Camarillo, Ballet Folklorico Bell Arts and special appearances by the famous Camarillo White Horses. The Foundation will offer sneak peek tours of Adolfo's 1892 Queen Anne Victorian Mansion, now a museum. BBQ and Mexican-themed food truck fare along with adult beverages will be for sale. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy the afternoon under the shade of the historic heritage trees.

Interactive and immersive history-themed children's crafts and activities will be on hand. Children are encouraged to make Adolfo a handmade birthday card and families are invited to see if they can identify their home on the map of the original Camarillo Ranch property.

The birthday celebration is a tradition that honors Don Adolfo's love for community. "He always opened his home to people, throwing lavish barbeques and multi-day fiestas." said Charles Devlin, Camarillo Ranch Foundation Board of Directors Chairperson. "We are simply honoring his wishes and continuing his tradition." he added.
