Celebration Of The 2016 US-China Tourism Year Set For Home Of The Washington Wizards

WASHINGTON, Nov. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- As China's economy and middle class continues to grow and expand, millions of its citizens have poured into the United States in recent years for study and work opportunities.

A large portion of Chinese visitors have also come to the United States to travel and experience America's rich history, culture, and natural landscapes. In a respective manner, as China continues to modernize and open its doors to the world, an increasing number of Americans are turning to the Far East for better economic opportunities and new travel experiences.

On Saturday, November 19, 2016, China National Tourism Administration and the Sino-American Friendship Association, as well as leaders from both U.S and China, will host a special event showcasing China and its culture and tourism.

"Beautiful China Night - Celebration of the 2016 US-China Tourism Year," will be held at the Verizon Center, home of the Washington Wizards.  The event will be in collaboration with an NBA basketball game between the Washington Wizards and Miami Heat.

The celebratory event will recognize and promote tourism and cultural exchange between the United States and China.  Industry leaders and officials from multiple provinces across China will be in attendance. Visa China has also joined with their support to celebrate this special themed event.

A variety of traditional Chinese cultural performances will set the basketball court ablaze during pre-game and half time to celebrate this year's milestone event in US-China tourism. Gifts will also be provided to American basketball fans throughout the game. This special event will serve to symbolize a truly iconic gathering of the United States and China as eastern culture meets western sports during a fun evening of entertainment.

Connecting people around the world by learning and sharing each other's culture and traditions through tourism exchange is a major theme of evening's event. To fuel this meaningful purpose, over a thousand Chinese basketball fans will attend the event to experience one of America's most beloved sporting traditions of basketball. Dazzling images and video clips of China's most exotic and sought after travel destinations will also be displayed across the arena's scoreboards and digital display screens throughout the game.
