Summer Music Festivals
Music festivals take place at Nancy Morrisette Field adjacent to the winery. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the gate. Children 12 and under accompanied by a paid adult are admitted at no charge. Young adults (13 – 20 years old) and designated drivers are $20. Call 540-593-2865 for more information.
Black Dog Rhythm & Vine Festival, Saturday, July 5, 2014, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Our third annual Black Dog Rhythm & Vine Festival features select Virginia wineries, great food, artists and craftsmen. National recording artist Paul Thorn headlines with an opening performance by The Alternate Routes, whose song "Nothing More" has been featured on the television series "NCIS."
Black Dog Summer Music and Wine Festival, Saturday, August 9, 2014, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This festival is all about the wine and the music. At 2:00 p.m., enjoy national recording artist Railroad Earth, who just completed their seventh studio album "Last of the Outlaws." This year's opening act is The Mastersons, a husband and wife duo lauded at this year's SXSW for their new album, "Birds Fly South." Enjoy exceptional food vendors, Virginia wineries, and artisans.
Black Dog Music and BBQ Festival, Saturday, September 13, 2014, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Our Black Dog Music and BBQ Festival features headliners Mountain Heart at 2 p.m. with Grammy nominated The Greencards opening the show at 11 a.m. Admission includes music, winery tour, and souvenir wine glass. A Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned event, our BBQ festival features regional teams competing for over $4,500 in cash awards in up to five different categories: Ribs, Brisket, Chicken, Pork, and new this year, Anything But where all entries are cooked using a selection of Chateau Morrisette wine!

For couples looking for a special experience, our Winemaker's Dinner and Mid-Summer Masquerade Ball are a gourmand's delight.
