Chihuly Garden and Glass to Offer an Assortment of Spring Programming

SEATTLE, April 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Chihuly Garden and Glass will launch a series of programs designed to enhance the guest experience and attract new, local audiences. It will also introduce regularly scheduled Specialty Tours and Gallery Talks, featuring revised content for returning guests.

Spring programming includes:

Yoga Under the Glass: 4/17, 5/7, 5/15, 6/4, 6/19
Yoga Under the Glass is a unique yoga experience that invites guests to ignite their mind, body and spirit in Chihuly Garden and Glass' inspirational Glasshouse. Accessible and designed for all skill levels, local instructors will take participants through a special 60 minute session, drawing inspiration from the creative environment.
Walk with the Gardener: 4/28, 5/8, 6/9
Walk with the Gardener is a pre-open garden tour and Q&A with the Chihuly Garden and Glass gardening team. With the distinction of being the first natural environment created specifically to showcase a Chihuly exhibition, the garden offers a special look at the interaction of plants and the art work. During the tour, Chihuly gardeners will share the overall landscaping design and philosophy, walk guests through the spring and summer plantings, review the exhibition's master plant list and offer some home gardening tips. Attendees will also have access to the exhibition's galleries and Glasshouse.
Chihuly through the Lens: 4/16 and 5/14
Chihuly Garden and Glass will open its doors to photographers of all levels for a special opportunity to channel and capture Chihuly artwork in a 60 minute, early access photo session. Chihuly through the Lens invites photographers to bring tripods and take advantage of unobstructed views of the installations. Although not a classroom instruction program, Chihuly Garden and Glass staff photographers will help guide attendees through the experience, answer questions and provide some useful tips.
Spring Bloom: 4/22
Join Chihuly Garden and Glass for a pre-open kids tour, storytime and ladybug release. In celebration of spring, this family friendly event is designed for children three to five years old. The Chihuly Garden and Glass team will engage preschoolers in a special 60 minute interactive program inspired from the garden environment.
Community Hot Shop Tour: 4/29
Community Hot Shop Tour is a two hour private showcase of Chihuly Garden and Glass and a special glassblowing demonstration. The glassblowing team will discuss Dale Chihuly's impact on the Studio Glass Movement and demonstrate the basic elements of the art of Glassblowing.
Specialty Tours and Gallery Talks: Tours and Gallery Talks: Daily
Please join us to learn more about the galleries of the Exhibition Hall, Glasshouse and Garden. Exhibition Hosts will share information and observations about the artwork in each of these designated areas.

Attendees for all programs except Specialty Tours and Gallery Talks must sign up in advance online.
