Shimon "Katcha" Cahane. The veterans came with their children and grandchildren, meeting a unit of young soldiers fighting nowadays in the border guard for the safety of Israel and its beloved capital city of Jerusalem.

On Jerusalem Day, the nation of Israel and Jewish people worldwide celebrate the historic reunification of the Holy City on June 7, 1967. The FOZ Museum honored "Katcha" with the "Guardian of Zion" award handed to him by young soldiers together with Museum's CEO Michael Evans.

Both soldiers, veterans and their family members toured the museum impressed by the vivid and touching exhibits, honoring those Righteous Among the Nations in the last 200 years that have all risked their name and fortune, at times even their very lives, in order to protect and support the Jewish people and the Zionist dream towards the creation of the State of Israel.

This honored group was particularly impressed by the acts of leadership and bravery presented in the Hall of Brave at the Museum, with the story of Orde Wingate who trained those who would become future IDF commanders, as well as commanders of the Jewish fighting units in both WWI and WWII, Lot.
