Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock Honors Local U.S. Women's National Soccer Team Players Mallory Pugh and Lindsey Horan With Denver's Version of "Key to City"

DENVER, April 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Women's National Team (USWNT) soccer players, Mallory Pugh and Lindsey Horan, returned to their hometown this week for the April 4 USWNT friendly match against Australia, which marks the countdown to their upcoming FIFA World Cup appearance in France this June. Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock honored the Denver natives on the steps of City hall with "Challenge Coins," Denver's version of the Key to the City, as well as official Denver street signs. Horan was the first female American soccer player to sign a professional contract straight out of high school; and Pugh is the youngest woman in history to make the USWNT.
