Downtown Grand Las Vegas Bringing Esports Teams, Personalities and Fans Together for "Fighting Game Community Weekend"

LAS VEGAS, June 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Las Vegas' central hub for all things esports, the Downtown Grand Casino, is giving fighting game fans a little something extra every night from July 14 – 17 with "Fighting Game Community Weekend."

The four nights of fighting fun is packed with events celebrating esports fighting game culture, personalities, and competitions. Fans can compete in contests for prize money, get exclusive access to team meet & greets, and celebrate at a KNOCKOUT party at the Citrus Pool Deck on Saturday night.

Scheduled to appear over the four-night Fighting Game Community Weekend include Yomi Gaming, Critical Reaction, EvilBizz Gaming, Eric 'Big E' Small, and Arturo 'NYCFurby' Sanchez from Team Spooky.

A total of $3,000 in cash prizes will be awarded for the Thursday, July 14th Street Fighter V Invitational Tournament. Fans of old school fighting games can battle it out on Friday, June 15^th with a classic tournament night. The celebration culminates on Saturday the 16^th with a night-time party at the Citrus Pool Deck.
