El Cid Welcomes all to a Major Golf Event in November 2016

MAZATLAN, Mexico, Sept. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Already legendary among golfers of all abilities, the 43^rd annual El Cid golf tournament will take place at El Cid Golf & Country Club from November 11 -13. The tournament committee officially invites all golf enthusiasts to take part in the competition while staying in Mazatlán, a city that is fast becoming a national center of the sport. El Cid management notes that the tournament encourages players of every level, from beginners to seasoned experts, to take part in the event.

Players of all abilities, from zero-handicap "championship" level participants to high-handicap golfers, are welcome to choose their appropriate flight. El Cid Resorts notes that there are separate divisions for men, women and seniors of all proficiency levels.

Minimum age for "senior" flights is 60, and players are reminded that the maximum handicap to enter the tournament is 26. Fortunately, those guidelines almost assure that anyone who wants to be a part of the El Cid Annual Golf Tournament will not be turned away, regardless of age or ability.

The contest offers a generous prize purse that totals more than ₱3 million ($165,000). During the cocktail party at the opening of the welcome ceremony, 35 places will be drawn to take part in the first Shoot-Out. These participants will share about two-thirds of the total purse money, $100,000 in all. Besides numerous cash prizes awarded on various par-3 holes, there will be merchandise awarded, to include an EZ-Go golf cart, and automobiles for the first golfers who score a hole-in-one on the par-3 holes.

All participants' names will be entered into a drawing for a new car, and there will be numerous trophies awarded based on scoring achievements. Because the field is limited to the first 240 players who register, golfers who are interested in taking part in the El Cid 43^rd Annual Golf Tournament are encouraged by El Cid Resorts to register as early as possible.
