Emmy Award-Winning Comedian Louie Anderson Highlights Laugh & Love Weekend At Horseshoe Bay Resort

HORSESHOE BAY, Texas, Jan. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Valentine's Day and Presidents' Day are the perfect excuse to head to the Texas Hill Country February 13-15 for a three-day weekend sure to be filled with romance and award-winning comedy at the AAA-four diamond Horseshoe Bay Resort on Lake LBJ.

The lake and golf resort is hosting Emmy Award-winning comedian Louie Anderson for an exclusive engagement on Sunday, February 14^th.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with show time at 7:30 p.m.

Two-time Emmy award-winner Louie Anderson is one of the country's most recognized and adored comics and was named by Comedy Central as "One of 100 Greatest Stand-Up Comedians of All Time."

His big break came in 1984 when he appeared on "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson" who was so impressed with the comic he called him out for a rare and coveted "second bow." The multi-talented performer went on to do television and movies starring in his own CBS sitcom "The Louie Show" and five of his own comedy specials for both HBO and Showtime.

Anderson's Sunday night performance will be preceded on Saturday with a number of Valentine's themed dinner experiences.

Austin's own Liz Morphis and her trio will perform live during a Valentine's dinner experience in the resort's Yacht Club ballroom on Saturday starting at 7 p.m. The tempting menu will feature a duo entree of Spiced Texas Filet of Beef paired with Jumbo Shrimp. At the Lantana Restaurant, the resort will showcase a four-course dinner featuring entree choices of Braised Short Rib Surf and Turf or Macadamia-Crusted, Free-Range Chicken. Live music will complement Saturday night's dinner at Lantana and cost is $59.00 per person plus tax and gratuity.

The Yacht Club Dining Room will take the spotlight with the resort's Valentine's dinner offerings with mouthwatering entree choices of YC Spiced Texas Filet of Beef, Juniper-Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb or Chardonnay Braised Pork Osso Buco.  Pianist Lee Keller will accompany the dinner and price is $99.00 per person plus tax and gratuity.

For couples wanting an outdoor romantic experience, the resort will offer Valentine's weekend sunset cruises on both Friday and Saturday nights departing the marina at 5:15 p.m. each evening. Cost is $40.00 per person and includes a one-hour cruise with a captain.
