LONGYAN, China, Oct. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Wuping Global Tourism Development Board, together with Yang Jinlin New Media, and Zhuojian Culture Communications jointly launched the "Search for Centenarians – Explore the Natural Beauty" photography activity during this year's Double Ninth Festival in Wuping, Fujian Province, China.

Top photographers from all over China were invited to take photos with nearly 100 centenarians and explore the peaceful Liang Ye Mountain. Wuping is famous for its residents' longevity in Fujian province. Due to its healthy environment, 26 centenarians, 1.301 nonagenarians, and 9,608 octogenarians are currently living in Wuping. The county is located at the junction of Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces. Due to its unique geographical conditions, pleasant climate, some of the best air quality in the country, and a forest coverage rate of 79.7%, it is the 2nd most ecologically-friendly county in Fujian Province.

During the launch ceremony, Yang Lide, a famous musician from Taiwan, performed a fashion show with 6 centenarians as his models. The six oldest models immediately became the spotlight of the event. Yang Lide explained his initiative to the press, he wanted the centenarians to feel that they can still participate in art and beauty with their own value.

Zhang Lihua, deputy secretary of Wu Ping County, said that this campaign will help enhance the "Healthly, Blessed, Fresh Wuping" brand. Moreover, it can fully reflect the significance of Wuping and Liang Yeoshan Mountain as the core competitive advantage for local tourism attractions.
