Four lucky Canadians get a big surprise from NewLeaf Travel Company

WINNIPEG, July 15, 2016 /CNW/ - Nova Scotia's Sylvia Weeks, Ontario's Neal Pruden, Manitoba's Jennifer Stayner and Saskatchewan's Rebecca Mills have reason to celebrate. NewLeaf Travel Company Inc. today announced these four passionate NewLeaf fans will each receive free roundtrip flights as a gesture of goodwill.

"Over the past few months, thousands of Canadians from coast to coast sent us messages to tell us why our effort to bring ultra low fares to Canada is so important to them," explains NewLeaf Chief Commercial Officer Dean Dacko. "We received over eight thousand petition signatures backing our "Fair Fare Revolution," and hundreds of letters were sent to the Minister of Transport. So, we decided to pick four of our loyal supporters and surprise them with free flights."

The four lucky supporters' stories are documented on NewLeaf's YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MnqvjpyDXI

  • Sylvia Weeks will be able to visit her grandsons from B.C. (aged 2 and 5 months) whom she's never met in person.
  • Neal Pruden will use his trip to reunite with his siblings in western Canada.
  • Jennifer Stayner will explore Canada with her adopted son from Ethiopia.
  • Rebecca Mills and her husband will spend time with her husband's daughter in Kelowna.

"I have the prospect of seeing my grandsons," exclaimed a jubilant Weeks when she heard the news. "I'm just tearing up!"
