BOSTON, Sept. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Boston-based Immersive Productions and Jason Egan, creator of Fright Dome Las Vegas, today announced Ghost Ship Harbor, an immersive Halloween attraction on USS Salem in Quincy, Mass.

With 60,000 square feet of terror, Ghost Ship Harbor will horrify fans with interactive, twisted experiences based on the premise a plague has taken over. To ensure survival, civilians must visit the USS Salem before the ship departs on October 31.

The attraction will feature three haunted houses including Contagion, where those trying to flee will be required to undergo a thorough examination before boarding the ship; Plague, where chaos ensues once the virus is discovered onboard; and Ouija, the paranormal VIP experience that explores the truly haunted side of the ship.

Ghost Ship Harbor will feature chilling scare zones and a macabre food village. Ghoulish professional actors, costumes and props will shock and frighten all who dare to visit.

The USS Salem is known as a haunted destination. The ship served as a hospital following the 1953 Ionian Earthquake and hundreds of ghost sightings have been documented. The USS Salem was featured on the television show Ghost Hunters and featured in 13 Most Haunted in Massachusetts by author Sam Baltrusis.

"For many years, Greater Boston has lacked a haunted destination, one that delivers on a promise of sheer terror," said Matt DiRoberto, founder of Ghost Ship Harbor. "By partnering with Jason Egan and Fright Dome, we are creating a destination event that New England has never experienced."

Jason Egan and the creators of Fright Dome have more than 15 years of experience in building extreme haunted attractions.

"I am excited to launch this haunted attraction in such an iconic location," said Fright Dome owner Jason Egan.  "My team has created some of the top Halloween events in the world.  To launch in a new market like Boston and work in a location that is notoriously haunted is amazing."

Ghost Ship Harbor runs from September 30, 2016 through October 31, 2016. Tickets are on-sale now.   For more information, visit http://www.ghostshipharbor.com/
