InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) [LON: IHG, NYSE: IHG (ADRs)], announces the completion of a significant renovation of the Holiday Inn Resort Aruba - Beach Resort and Casino, one of the island's landmark resorts. The hotel is located on Palm Beach, known by visitors as the finest beach on the island, offering guests one of the most beautiful views in the Caribbean.

IHG's first presence in the Caribbean dates back to the early 1960's and in Aruba specifically since 1967. The nearly 600-room property in Aruba caters to guests that are looking for a unique resort experience, family fun or a relaxing getaway. The hotel's renovations include upgrades to its guest rooms, lobby and landscaping around the property. In addition, the resort's outdoor amenities now feature three swimming pools, Jacuzzi, full-service spa, as well as an updated beachfront Sea Breeze Restaurant & Bar, Oceanside Bar & Grill and the new Palm Bar.

"Strengthening IHG's presence in Aruba remains key for our business as we focus on growing our portfolio in top resort markets," said Alvaro Diago, COO, Latin America and Caribbean, IHG. "Through IHG's significant renovation coupled with the oceanfront location and resort-style amenities at the Holiday Inn Resort Aruba – Beach Resort and Casino, we have further positioned this resort to provide our guests with a memorable vacation experience as one of the best resorts on the island."

The renovated guestrooms feature a 37" flat screen LED TV, new carpeting and high quality bedding. The resort offers a wide array of amenities including the full-service Excelsior Casino, rejuvenating spa services, fitness facilities, five on-site restaurants and three bars, three pools and Jacuzzis, arcade and free WiFi. Additional on-site recreational activities include sunset meditation, yoga classes, wine tasting, dance classes and a wide range of complimentary on-site kids' activities such as sand castle contests, pool volleyball, Bluebeard's Scavenger Hunts and necklace making.

"The Holiday Inn Resort Aruba – Beach Resort and Casino has seen continued success due to the ideal beachfront location, outstanding service offering and amenities available to guests, all at a great value," said Heather Balsley, senior vice president, Americas Holiday Inn® Brand Family. "Now with the latest enhancements to the property, we look forward to showcasing all of the new upgrades that the hotel has to offer guests and allowing them to continue to have a unique resort experience."

The Holiday Inn brand was conceived as a way to bring the joy of travel to families in a fun, affordable and comfortable way. The brand's innovative approach changed the way millions of people travel, and ended up bringing the whole world together. Now, over 62 years later, the brand continues to evolve to meet the demands of today's traveller. That's why IHG invested in the $1 billion Holiday Inn global brand relaunch, the largest in hospitality history, which included the transition of the Holiday Inn Resort brand from the Holiday Inn SunSpree® Resorts brand in 2007. The relaunch continues to drive increased quality and consistency across the global portfolio, and new hotels feature a contemporary image with emphasis on arrival and welcome services, guestroom and guest bath comfort and a redesigned logo and signage.

IHG has nearly 200 hotels in Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean, where its brands have been serving guests for 65 years. IHG has hotels situated in nearly every key market throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
