World Famous California Climber Kevin Jorgeson Soared to the Top of Toronto's ROM Crystal

TORONTO, Oct. 27, 2016 /CNW/ - Visit California invited Kevin Jorgeson, world famous climber and California Dreamer to share his dream big message yesterday as he became the first person ever to climb to the top of the Royal Ontario Museum's (ROM) Crystal peaks to show there are no limits to reaching your dreams. This was also a first for Kevin, who can now officially call himself an authentic urban mountaineer!

"It has always been a big dream of mine to climb a big, beautiful building," said Jorgeson from in front of The ROM's Crystal. "As folks who like to make dreams come true, Visit California made it happen."

Who:

Kevin Jorgeson began climbing as a toddler and by the age of 19 was ranked as the top climber for his age group in the United States. In 2009 he began work on the El Capitan Dawn Wall ascent in Yosemite Valley with fellow climber Tommy Caldwell. After six years of work, and 19 days on the wall, the pair completed what is called the world's hardest free climb.
