Lyft Announces Atlanta's Top Destinations, Celebrates Local Drivers and Passengers

ATLANTA, March 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Lyft, the fastest-growing ridesharing company in the U.S., has announced the Top Destinations in Atlanta with the most passenger dropoffs to-date to celebrate local business and points of interest.

Based on Lyft passenger destination data, five local businesses, watering holes, and local attractions have received recognition as the top Lyft destinations across the city. Here's the full list:

• Top Bar: Dark Horse Tavern
• Top Restaurant: Big Sky Buckhead
• Top Event Venue: Philips Arena
• Top Transit Stop: College Park Station
• Local Flavor: Piedmont Park
• Trending Destination: Atlantans can shop till they drop!! Many of Lyft's top destinations were shopping centers.

Not only do these destinations represent Atlanta's vibrant and unique culture, they also provide a glimpse into today's hot spots in the ATL. Whether going out to eat, visiting a local attraction, or using Lyft to connect to the nearest transit stop, countless Atlanta residents are foregoing traditional options and using Lyft to rediscover their city.

Also announced today, Lyft is partnering with Baconfest this Saturday, March 26th, to help locals get to and from the event safely.

Lyft is also the official rideshare sponsor of some of Atlanta's most popular music festivals this spring, including Sweetwater 420, Shaky Knees, and Shaky Beats. By teaming up with these local events, Lyft is helping to relieve congestion in and around these venues while also providing a friendly, stress-free alternative for attendees who don't want to drive their own vehicle.  

To celebrate this continued growth and thank Atlanta's top passengers and drivers, Lyft is hosting a party this Thursday, March 24th, at the local hot spot Argosy at 6:30 PM. Attendees will enjoy snacks, games, and be able to meet members of the growing Lyft Atlanta team.
