Kazzit is proud to announce the addition of Laura Williamson, MS, CWE to the Kazzit executive team.  Ms. Williamson holds both the expert credentials of Master Sommelier (MS) and Certified Wine Educator (CWE).  Her credentials rank among the highest in the industry.  In 2002, she obtained the prestigious CWE credential when barely 100 others before her obtained the distinction.  Then, in 2005, Ms. Williamson earned the MS diploma. At the time of this award, only 78 Americans (of which only 13 were women) held the honor.

Since 2005, Ms. Williamson has put her talents and expertise to work in several areas.  She began consulting for Small Vineyards Imports.  There she assisted the selection of their portfolio, expanded offerings in Portugal and Spain, and strengthened the education of suppliers and distributors in the area of wine production on a small, hand-harvested, and earth-friendly scale.  From 2006 through 2009, she co-owned VinTabla Restaurant and Wine Shop in Tucson, Arizona. Next, she became Vice President of Sales for Rudi Wiest Selections from 2010-2012.  During 2014, she also managed the Terry Theise portfolio on a national scale through Skurnik Imports when she was based in Manhattan.  In 2015 the busy Ms. Williamson was both the Wine Director for Mandarin Oriental in NYC and the Corporate Beverage Director and Chef Sommelier for Jean-Georges Restaurant, which has consistently been awarded four stars by the New York Times and has received three Michelin stars.

Additionally, Ms. Williamson is in demand on a regular basis to speak at national wine conferences and festivals.  She is a committed advocate for artisan wine producers from under-appreciated countries such as Greece, Portugal/Madeira, Germany and Slovenia.  Wine workshops, supporting local children's charities, practicing yoga and leading yoga classes fill her spare time.
