Miracle Flights Spreads the Love for Valentine's Day - Coordinates 552 Flights in February for Sick Children

LAS VEGAS, March 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The nation's leading medical flight charity, Miracle Flights, concluded the month of love with 552 flights for sick children struggling to reach medical care far from home—the ultimate Valentine!

Families served this past February include 56 from Texas and 40 each from California, North Carolina and Nebraska alone. Additionally, Miracle Flights serviced patients from 5 countries, including Ecuador, Grenada and Peru.

Since its inception in 1985, Miracle Flights has coordinated 106,257 flights and flown over 59 million miles. The nonprofit is dedicated to helping patients with rare and life-threatening medical conditions gain access to distant medical…as many times as necessary.

Mark E. Brown, CEO of Miracle Flights, said, "There was a lot to love about Miracle Flights this past February. We hit a record number of flights for the month and are on track to exceed our goal of families served this fiscal year. Additionally, we have a big fundraiser coming up in May that we hope will raise additional funds to help our kids."

Miracle Flights will host its inaugural golf social, Swings for Wings, on Thursday, May 25, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at TopGolf Las Vegas. Presented by Bank of Nevada, the evening will raise funds for critically ill children in need of medical care far from home.
