Mistwood Grand Opening Celebration April 21-23!

ROMEOVILLE, Ill., April 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Grand Opening Celebration of Mistwood Golf Club's new multi-million-dollar Clubhouse April 21-23, 2016 will highlight the best of Mistwood's Scottish roots and celebrate the essence of this world-class golf club and event destination.

The long anticipated transformation at Mistwood Golf Club has created a single destination featuring Scottish-style links golf, award-winning culinary talent and casual elegance at McWethy's Tavern, and customized event-hosting opportunities that bring colorful visions to life. Mistwood now offers nearly 30,000 square feet of restaurant and event space, including the Great Hall for weddings and banquets and the Terrace Room for intimate group events. The picturesque Courtyard, along with the old-world bell tower, are ideal for outdoor events.

Mistwood Cook-Off Judged by Ted Brunson
Come to the Great Hall and watch a live, 30-minute cooking demonstration by Mark Angeles, executive chef at Mistwood Golf Club along with popular TV food personality Ted Brunson, of Brunson's Best and formerly WGN-TV's show Chicago's Best. Chef Angeles will share an array of tips and tricks and will then conduct a live "cook-off" between 4-5 contestants from the audience! Wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres served.

Scotch Tour Tasting, 6-8 p.m.
Enjoy a guided tour through some of the world's finest Scotch! Scotch Master Stuart MacPherson from Macallan will teach you the nuances and traditions of traditional Scottish whiskey. Wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres served.

Saturday, April 23
Craft Beer Festival & Family Fireworks Night, 4-9 p.m.
Bring the whole family for a beautiful evening at Mistwood! Enjoy live music face painting and balloon artists in the Courtyard (weather permitting), with complimentary carnival snacks and a cash bar, starting at 4 p.m.

Stick around for the craft beer tasting at 7 p.m., featuring samples from four local breweries: Pollyanna, Half Acre, Two Brothers and Metal Monkey.

We'll top off our celebration with a full custom fireworks display at nightfall (8:30/9:00 p.m.)!
