COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NetJets Association of Shared Aircraft Pilots (NJASAP) President Pedro Leroux has issued the following statement in response to the Southwest Airlines pilots' vote to ratify a successor collective bargaining agreement:

"The NJASAP Membership is very pleased to extend its congratulations to the Southwest Airlines pilots, who voted to ratify a successor collective bargaining agreement on Monday. Our SWAPA peers waged a hard fought, four-year campaign to secure an agreement that recognizes their experience, skill, and dedication to the Southwest brand. SWAPA President Jon Weaks is to be likewise commended for his leadership, tenacity and relentless efforts to unify his 8,400-plus members in pursuit of a common goal. His leadership combined with a Membership who stood resolute in its demand for wages, benefits and working conditions commensurate with their skill is a model labor peers across the industry would be well served to emulate. We applaud their efforts and, once again, offer our sincere congratulations on securing a richly deserved agreement."

Founded in 2008 as an independent labor advocate, NJASAP represents the professional interests of the 2,700-plus pilots who fly in the service of NetJets Aviation, Inc. For more information, visit our web site, www.njasap.com, Facebook page, www.facebook.com/njasap, or Twitter feed, @njasap.
