NEW YORK, July 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Sixt Rent-a-Car, the global mobility provider with more than 2,200 locations in over 100 countries, is renowned around the world for offering customers "drive first class, pay economy", a unique blend of premium vehicles, white glove customer service, and competitive pricing. Celebrated in Europe for its bold advertising style, America's fastest-growing rental car brand—already #4 after just seven years in the U.S.—brought its signature approach to the U.S. for the very first time in New York City, turning the Big Apple's iconic 6th Avenue into "Sixt" Avenue for a day.

"Millions who love the Sixt brand in Europe have asked when we'd be rolling out our well-known advertising style here in the America. Until now, we've been focused on quietly growing the company and building out our national network. The opening of our first branch in New York City created the perfect opportunity to turn up the volume, giving Americans a taste of who we are and what they can expect as new Sixt branches debut almost every month. You'll continue to hear a lot more from us as we work tirelessly to earn loyal Sixt fans as we have in Europe and around the world," said Daniel Florence, COO of Sixt USA. "None of this would have been possible without the incredible support and partnership from the new leadership at Cadillac, America's most iconic luxury automobile brand. We're thrilled to be working together."

During it's "Sixt Avenue" celebration, a Sixt Cadillac fleet cruised 6th Avenue, making surprise stops to unsuspecting passers-by offering discount giveaways, Sixt sunglasses, and other surprises. Sixt's brand ambassadors spent time with New Yorkers, making them aware of the service and offering to get them started with a special Sixt experience.

The new location is located at 20 Morris Street, New York, NY 10006 in Battery Park and—through a new partnership with Cadillac—offers New York's an exclusive selection of the very latest Cadillac vehicles including the ATS, CTS XTS, CT6 , CTS-V sedans, and the XT5 and Escalade SUVs, with the XT4 coming soon.
