BELLEVUE, Wash., Nov. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Santa comes around once a year, except in Bellevue where the jolly old man visits The Bellevue Collection's Snowflake Lane every night. Starting the day after Thanksgiving and running through Christmas Eve, the much-anticipated parade brings the joy of the holiday season between NE 4th Street and NE 8th Street  in downtown Bellevue, just eight miles east of Seattle.

Snowflake Lane is truly unlike any other holiday celebration in the country as it transforms the city into a magical winter wonderland. From falling snow, colorful lights and vibrant floats to festive performances by toy drummers, jingle belle dancers, snow princesses, and the arrival of Santa every night. Snowflake Lane is a must-do activity the whole family will love this holiday season.

The 20-minute outdoor show starts at 7 p.m. and is free to the public, drawing thousands of spectators each night to the streets between Bellevue Square and Lincoln Square of The Bellevue Collection, the Pacific Northwest's largest shopping, dining and entertainment district. Dressed in lavish costumes, the Snowflake Lane cast, featuring nearly 250 of the area's most talented performers, intermingle with holiday revelers treating them to professionally choreographed song-and-dance numbers, take photos with families and hand out candy to the delight of those who line the sidewalks each night.

For 14 years Greg Thompson Productions (GTP) has produced Snowflake Lane for The Bellevue Collection. Snowflake Lane includes a cast of nearly 300 performers and technicians, more than 5,000 costume pieces and props and more than 100,000 lights all of which is produced locally in the Northwest by GTP. In a decade and a half, Snowflake Lane has grown from 50,000 visitors a year to more than 350,000 visitors in 2017.

"We are overjoyed Snowflake Lane has become a holiday tradition for many families for the last 13 years. It was a vision of our chairman and CEO, Kemper Freeman, after visiting New York City's Fifth Avenue and Chicago's Magnificent Mile to create a one-of-a-kind celebration for the local and regional community," said VP of Marketing for The Bellevue Collection Jennifer Leavitt. "So much goes into this gift to the community, from production including rehearsals and nightly performances to the creation of the elaborate costumes and floats in addition to wages of our cast members, but we feel it's priceless and hope the community does too."
