LUBBOCK, Texas, March 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Panhandle-South Plains Fair Association Board has hired Jennifer Wallace to succeed Herb Higgs as General Manager of the Panhandle-South Plains Fair.  Higgs announced his retirement earlier in the year and will remain active until the end of March.

Wallace, who has worked at the Fair for the past 13 years, looks forward to the opportunity the new role offers.  "Herb has been an excellent mentor my entire time at the Fair."  Wallace added, "As the fifth manager of the fair, I will strive to continue the century-long success of this organization."

"While Herb will certainly be missed, the board is confident that after a nationwide search Jennifer is uniquely qualified to lead the Fair into its next 100 years," said John Zwiacher, President of the Panhandle-South Plains Fair Association Board.  "I want to publicly thank Herb for his years of exceptional dedication to the fair."
