Pennsylvania Slot Machine Revenue Down Less than 1% in March

HARRISBURG, Pa., April 4, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today posted on its web site the monthly report for total gross revenue and tax revenue generated from the play of slot machines at casinos during March 2017.

According to the report, the combined gross revenue from slot machines at the 12 casinos in March of this year was 0.60% lower, $209,984,147, compared to March 2016 when gross revenue was  $211,253,260.

Gross slot machine revenue for each of the casinos is as follows, with the percentage change reflected over the previous year: 

Tax revenue in March of this year was $111,796,500.*

The average number of slot machines operating throughout Pennsylvania was 26,222 in March 2017 compared to 26,415 in March 2016.

*Tax revenue figures reflect amount generated prior to any adjustments by the PA Department of Revenue
