NEW ORLEANS, Sept. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Windsor Court Hotel is letting the good times roll with the re-opening of its Polo Club Lounge on Sept. 23, 2016.

Following two months of renovations totaling $300,000, the luxurious lounge will open with a refreshed menu and 930 square feet of additional space for expanded seating options and a live entertainment area. Robin Barnes, a native New Orleans jazz artist, will return at 9 p.m. as the resident headliner with songs from her new album, "Songbird Sessions". The space also features fresh paint, cozier furniture, a new bar top, extra outlets along the bar to allow guests to charge phones and enhanced lighting and sound systems.

Evoking the feel of a private England club with overstuffed leather chairs and rich woods, the classic lounge boasts an impressive wine collection of over 600 labels and cocktails that are as classic as its setting. Sip on specialties such as a DeFalco's Italian Soda, Pomegranate Gilmlet or Summer Nostalgia while choosing which type of Caviar to try during your visit.

Upon opening, the lounge will feature a new menu, carefully crafted by Chef Gabe Charpentier. With over eight years of experience managing upscale restaurants and luxury hotel kitchens, Charpentier delights in creating exquisite dining experiences with specialized French techniques. With small plates such as steak tartare and a crab and crawfish croquette, as well as tasty classics including fish and chips and a crab cake po' boy, the refreshed menu is sure to delight all types of travelers. Guests can also order sharable items or pair a drink with one of the lounge's signature desserts – banana pudding trifle or sticky toffee a-la Mode.

Coinciding with the re-opening of the lounge, an array of events are scheduled to take place near the downtown luxury hotel. Swing by for a drink before a concert or New Orleans Saints game at Mercedes-Benz Superdome, hosting Beyoncé on September 24, 2016 and exciting home football matchups throughout the end of the year. Busy business professionals in town for the Water Environment Federation's Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC) from September 24-28, 2016 are invited to stop by for cocktails following a day of networking at the conference.

The Polo Club Lounge is open Sunday to Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 12 a.m., and Friday to Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. For information on live entertainment and to see a menu, visit www.WindsorCourtHotel.com.
