ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., May 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- It's been a great month for Resorts Digital. The team behind ResortsCasino.com and MoheganSunCasino.com was the recipient of the Operator of the Year award at the EGR North America Awards. Resorts Digital topped a growing field of North American online casino and online poker operators to claim the top prize at the award show on April 27th in San Francisco.

"Since launching ResortsCasino.com and following it up with the introduction of MoheganSunCasino.com, we've been focused on building a first-class experience for players in New Jersey," said Lee Terfloth, Director of Interactive Product for Resorts Casino Hotel, a Mohegan Sun property. "We're honored to win the EGR North America Operator of the Year award and we're excited about what's in store for the coming year."

The Operator of the Year recognizes the North America online gaming operator that has set new standards over the last year. The award judged entrants in a number of categories, including scale, diversity of product, growth, leadership, and innovation.

Thanks to its innovations in the New Jersey regulated iGaming market, Resorts Digital has exceeded expectations. Online gaming revenue has been trending up as reported by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, and the NJ online casino operator continues to attract new players thanks to its commitment to bringing the best games to its two sites — ResortsCasino.com and MoheganSunCasino.com.

This is the second award nabbed by the Resorts Digital team in April 2016. Resorts Digital also won Best Marketing Campaign at the iGaming North America Awards for its innovative Where The Winners Play campaign.
