Retuning to Colorado Springs in the Majesty of Garden of the Gods

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., April 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- This summer, on September 29th & 30th, 2017 a spectacular showing featuring hundreds of local, national, and international performers will be featured at Glen Eyrie in Colorado Springs for its fourth year. The show will draw in thousands of spectators along with military, civilian, and first responder performances to the city.

The Colorado Military Taptoo is a patriotic, entertaining, and inspiring show that will feature over 300 performers including military bands, bagpipe bands, choirs, and other unique performance groups from the world over, in the two hour fast paced extravaganza. The show will be lit with vibrantly colored lighting and hundreds of performers will march, dance, and interact in the uniquely large spectacle.

The 2017 show's theme is "A New Frontier" in tribute to locating to a new live show site. Very special tributes will be made during the show including a unique tribute to the 100th anniversary of Fort Carson's 4th Infantry Division.

The word "Taptoo" comes from a centuries-old European military tradition and is mentioned in George Washington's papers. Other famous shows include the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and the Taptoe Nationale. Taptoo refers to the bugle call "Taps" which is used to signal the end of the day or the end of a life.
