September in Miami Beach: so much to do, so much to see

MIAMI BEACH, Fla., Sept. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- It's not yet the start of the official Miami Beach social season, but September signals the start of some great events and activities in the city that are fun for visitors and residents. From a Fashion Film Festival to Orgullo, the celebration of the Hispanic LGBT community, there is something for everyone with choices galore.

"Miami Beach has really evolved from just a sleepy beachside community into a 360-degree city that offers so much dynamic entertainment, activities and events," says Peggy Benua, Chair, the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority (MBVCA). "September is a great month to try something new, sample something never been done before or revert back to old favorites. That's the beauty of the Beach; there is something here for everyone."

In September, locals and travelers can check out a movie at the Miami Fashion Film Festival, be one of the first people in the world to see next year's new model of cars at the International Auto Show at the Miami Beach Convention Center, create their own tasting tour at the Miami Beach Food Truck and Music Fest or dance all night at one of the Orgullo festivities.

"Miami Beach has evolved into an exquisite amalgam of film, fashion, music, food, visual art, international events and original happenings," notes Grisette Roque, Executive Director, MBVCA. "We are like no other place in the world because as the month of September demonstrates, beyond the ocean and sand, the wealth of offerings in our city are endless, expansive and original."
