Significant seizure of 65 kilos of suspected cocaine at the Commercial Section of Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle Border Crossing

MONTRÉAL, Aug. 5, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) today announced a seizure of 65 kilos of suspected cocaine that was made during the night of August 1 to August 2, 2016, by border services officers at Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle.

A woman driving a pick-up truck arrived at the commercial section on the evening of Monday, August 1, 2016. The border services officers referred her for an inspection of her vehicle. During this examination, officers found four suitcases full of suspected cocaine. The driver was placed under arrest and turned over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) along with the suspected cocaine.
