After four weeks of spirited voting, USA TODAY announced that Six Flags Magic Mountain, the “Thrill Capital of the World,” is the winner of the Best Theme Park contest.
Noted for its renowned collection of world–class thrills, the Valencia, Calif. theme park boasts 19 roller coasters, more than any other theme park on the planet, including world–record–holders, Full Throttle, Tatsu, X2 and Goliath.
“This is such a tremendous honor,” said park president Bonnie Rabjohn. “Our fans have spoken and to be voted the number one theme park speaks to our core message of delivering exceptional guest service and world class rides and attractions. Everyone at Six Flags Magic Mountain thanks you for your votes!”
Magic Mountain’s sister park, Six Flags Great Adventure, located in Jackson, New Jersey, was also named one of America’s best theme parks, coming in second place.
