Thalassotherapy, botanicals and essential oils: Travertine Spa Collection draws inspiration from world travels to launch new Organic Skin Care line

SANTA ANA, Calif., July 27, 2016 /PRNewswire-iReach/ --Travertine Spa, Inc., the luxury retailer of aromatherapy and spa-grade body care, launches a new and much anticipated line of Organic Skin Care products at their annual invitation-only Summer White Party. The new Organic Skin Care line aims to blend the age-old practices of thalassotherapy, or the use of sea minerals, with the therapeutic benefits of botanicals and essential oils.

The new Skin Care product category consists of four products; a sulfate-free Facial Cleanser, Facial Toner, pH Balancing Moisturizer and a Marula Night Serum. The Marula Night Serum is made with hibiscus-infused, wild-crafted marula oil. Marula oil, native to South Africa, works as a deep moisturizer. Hibiscus is known as a powerful firming and anti-aging component. Using mineral-rich ingredients like sea kelp, as well as retinol and green tea extract, the Travertine Organic Skin Care line provides a full line of restorative, age-defying and moisturizing products made specifically for the face.

"The Organic Skin Care line is inspired by my travels. I wanted to capture the essence of protocols from French thalassic treatments, Roman thermal baths of Italy, hammam's of Instanbul and countryside onsens of Japan," said Carter. "We travel the globe for inspiration, ingredients and ancient skin care rituals. These experiences are combined with modern cosmetic science to create products with botanicals and vitamins in a bio-available composition." The new skin care line is packaged in violet glass, known to be used by the early Egyptians to protect precious substances.

In addition to the Organic Skin Care category, Travertine also adds to their Home Spa line with Quattro Olii, or "four oils." The Quattro Olii is an emollient body oil blended with a new bespoke essential oil fragrance to moisturize dry skin. This new fragrance, Anya, incorporates imported neroli and geranium essential oils for their therapeutic benefits. The fragrance has received such buzz that Travertine may release it as an eau de toilette.

The new products are not the only attraction at the annual Travertine Summer White Party. Vendors include Serendipity Nail Polish, an Orange County-based company that makes gluten free and vegan nail polish, and Morning Glory Confections, a Los Angeles company that, according to Martha Stewart, makes the "Best brittle. . ."
