GOLD COAST, Australia, May 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The world's leading youth travel agency has decided sending customers on a regular cruise, on a regular yacht, simply wasn't good enough anymore – so they're bringing an epic yacht party directly to their customers.

The Global Work & Travel Co., the largest gap-year specialist travel agency, has teamed up with a popular Australian radio station, Radio Metro 105.7, and invited customers, partners and the general public to a one-of-a-kind event on the water, "The Global Yacht Party."

"We have our very own DJ duo Matt Davies & Andy Dillon as Global Radio headlining the night, we invited other favourite local DJs, we've booked the yacht, and we're inviting the world to come and sail with us. We made our reputation off doing things differently, so when someone suggested a yacht party, we thought "Why not?" says Jürgen Himmelmann, CEO & Co-Founder of The Global Work & Travel Co.

"We're excited to show off the Gold Coast at night from the waterways.  We're donating all the proceeds from ticket sales to the Animal Welfare League of Queensland, as we love animals. So not only can you come out and party like it's 1999, you can do it knowing it's for all the right reasons," says Himmelmann.

The Global Work & Travel Co. is one of the world's leading travel firms dedicated to youth travellers on gap years, volunteer trips, working holidays and other meaningful cultural exchange experiences, with offices in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom.

"We know what it's like to be disruptive, and we love to do things differently than every other travel brand out there," said Himmelmann.  "Our customers are young, adventurous and love to party. So do we. So we thought we'd put together the event of the year and all party together.  Why not?"

Himmelmann won't rule out something similar for customers at the other locations of The Global Work & Travel Co., in London and Vancouver.  "Can you imagine a fundraising party going down the River Thames in London? I love the idea!" mused Himmelmann.

The party is set to launch Saturday, May 28, 2016.  Tickets for The Global Yacht Party are already sold out.
