The Leonardo Opens FLIGHT to the Public

SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- As months of anticipation draw to a close, The Leonardo will open FLIGHT, their newest blockbuster exhibit this Saturday. The culmination of years of work by museum staff and dedicated corporate and community partners, FLIGHT is a truly unique exhibit that throws open the doors to the wonder and awe of traversing the skies.

"I am extremely proud of the work we've done on FLIGHT," said Alexandra Hesse, CEO of The Leonardo. "When we set out to create this exhibit, we wanted to make something that would encourage people to think as da Vinci thought, and explore the world in new and exciting ways. FLIGHT is a fully interactive exhibit with a full sized C-131 aircraft at the center. Visitors can climb in, on or around the aircraft in order to learn exactly what makes it fly. In addition, the exhibit boasts interactives, two flight simulators, an expansive art piece titled The Tunnel of Dreams and more. It's appropriate for all ages and free with general admission.

"Since we opened The Leonardo five years ago, we've been growing and changing as a museum and the opening of FLIGHT marks a true turning point.
