The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board Approves $30,000 in Fines

HARRISBURG, Pa., June 22, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today levied fines totaling $30,000 against a southeastern Pennsylvania casino operator.

The fines were the result of Board approvals of consent agreements between the PGCB's Office of Enforcement Counsel and Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc., operator of the Parx Casino in Bucks County, which was fined a total of $30,000 for two separate violations, one involving an underage patron and the other an intoxicated patron.

A $15,000 fine was approved by the Board against Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc. for an incident in which a 19-year-old female was permitted to gain access to the gaming floor for approximately one and one-half hours, gamble at table games and consume alcohol.

A second fine, also for $15,000, was approved by the Board against Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc. for serving a female patron an excessive number of alcoholic drinks over an approximate six hour period even though the patron, according to PGCB investigators, exhibited clear signs of intoxication.

The next meeting of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in the PGCB's Public Hearing Room located on the second floor of Strawberry Square in Harrisburg.
