TISOH and the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association (SNHCA) Presents Perspectives on Hospitality Education Day for East Career & Technical Academy

LAS VEGAS, May 23, 2016 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- TISOH in conjunction with the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association presented a morning of hospitality training for 32 students from the Marketing/Hospitality & Tourism Program from East Career & Technical Academy.

The students in attendance heard from hospitality industry professionals in four sessions focusing on the areas of front desk operations, guest service/concierge, leadership and events/weddings. Each session covered diverse topics such as conflict resolution, discovering personal leadership styles, creating "wow" moments and many others. The material was presented by volunteer members from SNHCA, the National Association for Catering & Events Las Vegas Chapter (NACE) and the Wedding Industry Professionals Association (WIPA). Many of the presenters were instructors at TISOH.

A panel discussion with practical career advice ended the morning. "This education day complemented the classroom learning of the students well. With practical information and advice, students left reinvigorated in their pursuit of a hospitality career." said Timothy Lam, Executive Director of the school.
