Transat Québec Saint-Malo - Village Monde and French Tech Rennes St Malo parters for a noble cause

QUEBEC, June 21, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Charles Mony, founder of Village Monde, and Gilles Lamiré, skipper of the Trimaran French Tech Rennes St Malo, are proud to announce their partnership for a noble cause. Winner of the mythical race The Transat, Gilles Lamiré has invited Charles Mony to come on board and highlight the Village Monde image for the 9th edition of Transat Québec Saint-Malo, departing from Québec City on July 10th. 

For his third participation to the Québec Saint-Malo race (3st in 2008 and 2nd in 2012), Charles Mony will promote Village Monde, his organization dedicated to wealth generating initiatives and improve living conditions in remote communities around the world, while providing access to Village Tourism. As he says: « The oceans are the link between peoples and civilizations. Still today, sailing over the world allows privileged contacts with the remote communities, most of them isolated, but so rich of culture and traditions. ».   

Gilles Lamiré is happy of his association with Village Monde: «With our boats, we connect countries and continents. The Village Monde team does the same, but without boat. They build bridges and ties between different people. The international organization is implementing a humanistic approach for a new way to travel, the work of Charles Mony is outstanding!
