The Viva Wyndham Maya in Playacar, Mexico will reopen on July 1.  The Viva Wyndham Maya and Viva Wyndham Azteca resorts located in Playacar, Mexico, have made changes to on-site restaurants, and the Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach located in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island has remodeled its guest rooms.  Additionally, the Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach and Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace located in La Romana, Dominican Republic, are renovating guest rooms, common areas, pools and restaurants.  Viva Wyndham Resorts has also implemented a COVID-19 response plan at its eight all-inclusive resort properties throughout the Dominican Republic, Mexico and the Bahamas utilizing health and hygiene standards from leading global expert and hospitality industry organizations to safeguard guests, visitors and staff once it reopens its resorts.

Viva Wyndham Maya, the first in the Viva Wyndham Resorts portfolio of resorts to open, has renovated its international buffet-style restaurant, La Terraza, which offers culinary delights from around the world.  The versatility of the resort makes it an idyllic setting for families, couples and group travel.  The resort features 604 guest rooms, including superior rooms with either an ocean or garden view, five restaurants, and the Renova Spa.  Additionally, the Viva Wyndham Maya all-inclusive package offers a wealth of activities such as trapeze, tennis, beach volleyball and more to reasonably cost extras such as excursions, motorized water sports, spa offerings and more.

The Viva Wyndham Azteca now offers unlimited a la carte dining with no reservations required at its seven restaurants featuring delectable international, Mexican, Asian and Italian cuisines.   Breakfast, lunch and dinner across Viva Wyndham Resorts' restaurants are prepared by skillful local and international chefs and provide a comfortable and welcoming environment and a warm and friendly staff.  Guests of this resort have access to facilities at the sister property, Viva Wyndham Maya.

The Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach has remodeled its guest rooms and offers 274 rooms, including 154 superior ocean view rooms and 120 superior rooms.  Both room categories offer modern décor, a balcony, either two queen size beds or one king size bed and exceptional in-room amenities.  Connecting rooms and baby cribs are available upon request.

The Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach is enhancing its lobby with a modern look, renovating its standard and superior guest rooms and is adding to its portfolio of picturesque colonial and modern décor-inspired guest rooms.  The resort also features a new, spectacularly appointed saltwater infinity pool that nestles among the resort property, breathtaking beach and Caribbean Sea and has added another swimming pool to now offer four on-site pools, two of which feature separate children's areas.  The new Tiki Bar, located between the infinity pool and beach, features bamboo décor, a thatched roof and flat wood swing seating to offer guests extra fun and relaxation while enjoying snacks and beverages.  The El Trago Bar and pool area is also being revamped.  The new Latin Fusion restaurant, which offers a la carte cuisine, has a backlit-thatched roof, modern basket light fixtures, comfortable indoor couch and chair seating with an open-air environment, as well as outdoor table seating.  Additionally, the La Terraza buffet restaurant, Viva Mexico and La Pizzeria will boast new decor.  The walkways that are surrounded by lush greenery and natural habitat will be completed with coral stone.  All renovations will be complete by August 30th.

The Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace is also undergoing renovations, including its superior garden guest rooms and its pool and jacuzzi area.  The Bar La Papaya will offer a refurbished and renewed atmosphere.  The renovations will be complete by October 30.

To ensure health and hygiene safety standards for its guests, visitors and staff, Viva Wyndham Resorts is implementing a meticulous COVID-19 response plan.  The response plan has been shaped by adopting the guidelines and recommendations of several health and safety expert and hospitality industry leading sources, including the World Health Organization (WHO), and local health departments and Cristal International Standards (CIS).  CIS is a UK-based company and global leader in systems and services for brand quality, standards management and related-risk management.  It employs one of the largest groups of quality, hygiene and health and safety experts worldwide and boasts more than two decades in the field.  The company provides POSI-Check, an audit solution for the Prevention of the Spread of Infection in the Hospitality Sector, under which Viva Wyndham Resorts and its resorts will be certified.
