Waterloo Central Railway Announces Winning Tourism Event of The Year for THE POLAR EXPRESS(TM) Train Ride

ST. JACOB'S, ON, Nov. 6, 2018 /CNW/ - Waterloo Central Railway (WCR) is thrilled and overjoyed about the huge honour earned. Up against some of the most premier attractions and events in Ontario, Waterloo Central Railway surfaced number one and was awarded the Tourism Industry Award of Excellence for Tourism Event of the Year for THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride. They were also in the top 3 for the Tourism Innovator of the Year Award. Earlier this year, Waterloo Central Railway was awarded the Prestigious Polar Bell Award for Best On Board Experience for THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride in 2017. This award is given by Rail Events Inc. and Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and is considered to be "the big one" amongst THE POLAR EXPRESS™ community partners worldwide.

Waterloo Central Railway will begin service to the North Pole onboard THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Rides starting November 15th until December 23rd on select dates departing from 50 Isabella Street, St. Jacob's, ON N0B 2N0.

Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, passengers will relive the magic of the story as they are whisked away on THE POLAR EXPRESS™. They will enjoy hot chocolate and treats served by dancing chefs and read along with the classic children's book, The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg. Santa and his helpers greet passengers at the North Pole and then board the train, where everyone is given the first gift of Christmas – a silver sleigh bell. Characters from the movie interact with passengers on the return trip.

Performance prices range from $49.99 - $99.99 with regular coach and VIP services. Corporate holiday parties are being booked fast! Families are encouraged to wear their pajamas for the ride!
