ATMORE, Ala., Feb. 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Earlier this year, Wind Creek Hospitality (WCH) began the process to acquire the Sands Bethlehem casino property in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. With that purchase, WCH knew they were getting a AAA four diamond hotel, a 183,000 square foot casino, and numerous food and beverage outlets, just to name a few amenities. What they did not know was that they would also be acquiring their new Corporate Executive Chef, Victor Bock.

Chef Bock presently oversees six restaurants and manages well over 400 food and beverage employees at Sands Bethlehem Casino-Resort in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. With over three decades of multi-regional cuisine experience, his extensive knowledge of the culinary arts has allowed him to become one of the region's most well-respected chefs.

Chef Bock graduated from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in 1987, returning to The Accomac Inn, where he first started his culinary journey, as Restaurant and Catering Sous Chef. While at the Inn, the restaurant received accolades from publications such as Bon Appétit and Gourmet.

In 1991, Chef Bock became the Executive Chef at Window's on Steinman Park, a four-star French restaurant in Lancaster, Pa. While there, Chef Bock was nominated by the Chaine Des Rotisseur as one of the top 50 chefs in the Philadelphia area.

From there, Chef Bock went on to become the Executive Chef at the four-star, four-diamond Hotel Hershey. Bock was even featured on numerous cooking shows including episodes of PBS series: "Historic Hotels of America" and "Historic Chefs of America."

Chef Bock expanded his knowledge and repertoire with stints as Executive Chef at the historic Greensboro Country Club in North Carolina and later returning home as the Executive Chef at Bent Creek Country Club in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Returning to the resort industry, he moved to Vermont and took the post of Executive Chef at the four-star, four-diamond Woodstock Inn and Resort. Then in 2009, accepted his current position as Executive Chef / Director of Food and Beverage at Sands Bethlehem Casino-Resort. In his time at the Sands Casino, he has been featured on several editions of "The Chef's Kitchen" cooking series, numerous news publications, magazine and radio features.

Chef Bock continues to serve on the Resort Food Executives Committee since 1985, a committee aimed at promoting culinary apprenticeship programs and the American Culinary Federation. In addition, Chef Bock serves on the Northampton Community College's culinary advisory board as well as Bethlehem Vocational-Technical Bridges Foundation, a scholarship program dedicated to providing deserving students the ability and financial support to fulfill career in the culinary arts.

In his new position, Chef Bock will oversee all Wind Creek Hospitality international and domestic food outlets, including buffet, casual dining, fine dining and a culinary studio. Additionally, Chef Bock will have a large role in menu development at each property. WCH Vice President of Hospitality, Neal Miller, had this to say about Chef Bock's highly anticipated arrival, "We look forward to Chef Bock leading our culinary team with his creativity and imagination. His proven ability to implement and develop culinary standards will deliver that one of a kind experience that Wind Creek is known for."
