Deutschland Forbes Magazine uses investment advisor GMI Ratings to create the prestigious list. Prior to Forbes announcing their list, GMI Ratings reviews the accounting and governance behaviors of more than 8,000 publicly-traded companies throughout the United States. Once the review is complete, the top 100 scores are selected based on trustworthy behavior during the four quarters of the previous fiscal year.
