KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Worlds of Fun is celebrating its 43rd year in Kansas City in grand style with the opening of five new family rides.

It took months of planning, thousands of miles of travel and weeks of construction to complete.  The end result, five new adventures for families to experience together.

• Woodstock Gliders – Young guests control their own flight with moveable wings.
• Beagle Brigade Airfield – Get your aviator glasses ready for a high-flying adventure with Snoopy.
• Snoopy's Space Buggies – Defy gravity and bounce to the moon and back.
• Linus' Launcher – Experience the sensation of weightlessness through flight with feet dangling
• Snoopy's Junction – All aboard! Snoopy the conductor leads kids on a railroad adventure.

In addition to the new rides, Worlds of Fun has something to offer those who crave new foods or love entertainment adventures.  Chef Kevin Williams has taken his culinary expertise to a new sweet and spicy level.  Chef's signature street tacos now have a permanent home in Americana!  For those with a sweet tooth, a new Red Velvet funnel cake is available on an already delectable menu.

In between the new thrills and foods, you can relax and travel back in time to the 1980's.  The Moulin Rouge Theater will host the "Don't Stop Believin" music flashback daily beginning in mid-May.

You can also travel back in time to the old west and rustle up some good times on the Great American Train Robbery!

Worlds of Fun opens to season pass holders for a sneak preview on April 15th.  The popular Opening Day Campout also returns, giving many guests a chance to spend the night outside the front gate and be among the first riders of the season!  Everyone is welcome beginning 10am April 16th!
